World Heritage Sites of Nepal

Among many historical, natural or ecological sites in Nepal, the UNESCO has listed only ten sites as World Heritage. In this also, more than fifty percent are inside Katmandu valley and the rest sanctuaries are Lumbini, the birth place of Gautam Buddha and Sagarmatha and ChitwanNational parks.

World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu Valley locates among the snow clad mountains. It is virtuously beautiful with vibrant, lush green and luxuriant flora and undulating spikes and land and rivulets. We can say it is Shangri-la with divine beauty. The valley also contains numerous archaic sanctuaries, temples, monasteries and palaces which depict their grandeur and as well as our glory. The valley is the lap of luxury for both natural and craftsmanship beauties. The valley has extended at the height of 1,336 meters above the sea level. It comprises three ancient most cities of Nepal which are Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur respectively and which nowadays consists the profuse pressure of population. The valley connects with the other parts of the country by road and air ways. At the end, because of its different facets, it has been able to lure the people from different part of the world.
